follows her sold out London Borderline concert with four UK concerts

Joanne’s Borderline concert was filmed for a live DVD/CD that will
coincide with her November UK tour dates. The live recording will be
released as part of Ruf Records’ ongoing Songs From The Road 2 disc DVD/CDs. Previous releases in the live series include Luther Allison, Jeff Healey, and Savoy Brown.

Originally a native of the West Midlands, Joanne Shaw Taylor
is a phenomenal guitarist, singer/songwriter who continues to take
both sides of the Atlantic by storm. As a guitarist, Joanne blends
styles into her blues-based music, including rock, blues, funk, and
soul. All of her influences signify a direct source of inspiration in
her writing and playing abilities.

Although she has enough chops to keep up with the best in the
business, she tends to rely more on groove and emotion to draw in her
audience, holding their attention until the last notes of the song fade
away. In addition to her fretwork, she possesses a sultry voice that
only accentuates her playing and adds another level of musicianship to
her artistic palette.

Joanne was originally discovered by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart
as a 16 year old guitar prodigy. Through hard work and near-constant
touring, she is now one of the hottest young names on the British Blues
circuit. She is admired and respected by her peers including Joe Bonamassa.

The November and December concerts will see Joanne performing tracks from her current album Almost Always Never, plus favorites taken from her first two albums – White Sugar (2009) and Diamonds in the Dirt(2010).

Joanne was voted “Best British Female Vocalist” at the British Blues Awards in 2010 and 2011. Her current album, Almost Always Never, was produced by the legendary Mike McCarthy (Spoon, …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Patty Griffin) in Austin, Texas.
