“Men Without Hats” announce first European Tour in 20 Years

30 years ago, Men Without Hats told the world “You can dance if you want to.” The
world listened. Since then, the Canadian electronic rock band has
continued to create iconic and irresistible pop music for three decades.

In February they embark on their first European tour in over 20 years, performing all their classic hit singles, including “The Safety Dance”, “I Got The Message”, “Pop Goes The World”, “I Like”, “Living In China”, “Where Do The Boys Go?”, plus songs from their critically acclaimed new studio album “Love In The Age Of War“.

The European tour starts Friday 1st February at London’s Islington o2 Academy (only UK show), followed by dates across Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Sweden.

Led by charismatic frontman, lead singer and songwriter Ivan Doroschuk,
in 2011, MWH performed a breakout show at SXSW, followed by
extensive, well-received 2012 North American tours with The B-52’s and
The Human League.

Since forming in the late 70’s, the band has released six studio albums – having songs featured on hit TV series such as Glee, The Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy. 

Their 1980’s hit “The Safety Dance” reached Top 10
in the US, the UK and 25 other countries around the world. In 1983, they
picked up a Grammy nomination for Best Group.

“A lot has changed in music over the last few decades,” says
Doroschuk, “but the world still loves a hooky song with a bit of edge
that can get you thinking.”

Produced by Dave “Rave” Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy, Marilyn Manson), the new album Love In The Age of War features charismatic front man Ivan (voice, electronics), his brother Colin Doroschuk (vocals), as well as Lou Dawson (vocals, live keyboards), and James Love (guitars). 

Love In The Age of War marks their first studio album release in 10 years, featuring 10 original songs written by Ivan Doroschuk.
