“Brett Wellman & Stone Cold Blues” played at the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Tallahassee on Sunday, Oct. 23rd. With Brett Wellman on vocals and guitar, Chris Balding on harp, Mick Metz on bass and Chris Baker on drums, they played for over an hour to an enthusiastic audience. According to JoAnne Suggs of the American Cancer Society, approximately 6,000 people were in attendance (an increase by 4,000 over last year!), dancing around and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. In all, $126,000 was raised by this one event!

Saturday, Oct. 29th I’ll be at the Downtown Marketplace (Ponce de Leon Park) at the corners of Park Avenue & Monroe Street. It should be fantastic weather, everyone is in a festive mood, and there’s alway a lot of arts & crafts in the park. Start your holiday shopping early! Shop, realx & enjoy the blues music from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
From there I run to a local retirement home – one of my favorite gigs! For people that don’t venture outside much anymore, it’s wonderful to bring some joy to them.
I’ll end my crazy day at a brand new place in Cairo, Georgia – Encore Pasta & More! This new place is on South Broad Street and is hosting live music every weekend. I’m excited to be playing there on only the second weekend it’s open! I play from 8pm to 11pm.
